Iryna Bilyk Sunrise Concert reviews
Worst Show of His I've Ever Seen
"I've witnessed numerous performances by Iryna Bilyk, but this one was the worst I have ever attended, hands down. Her recent records have been disappointingly lackluster, and her setlist heavily relies on songs from these albums.
One peculiar aspect of her show is the extended rendition of "Meat Is Murder," a song by the Smiths that I perceive as one of their weakest. This performance is accompanied by graphic slaughterhouse footage projected in the background.
It's baffling to me what she aims to achieve with this approach. Attempting to sway meat-eaters through this sanctimonious display seems futile, and it's likely to repel even vegan audience members. I fail to see any redeeming aspect to this self-indulgent moral posturing.
For a comparison, consider attending a Rolling Stones concert where they exclusively perform tracks from "Voodoo Lounge" and "Bridges to Babylon." The dissatisfaction would be palpable, and a backlash would ensue. While Morrissey has a history of disdain towards his fan base, it appears that this attitude is increasingly dominant in his recent performances."
